How to Replace the Battery in Your BMW F-Series Key Fob (CR2032)
Swapping out the battery in your F-Series BMW key fob is quick and simple. Just follow these steps:

Remove the mechanical key
Press the release button and slide the key out in the direction indicated by the arrow.
Locate the notch
Take a close look at the key fob—you’ll spot a small notch near the key slot.
Use the key as a tool
Insert the mechanical key into the notch and gently twist or push to begin lifting the plastic back cover.
Lift the cover
Once it’s loosened, use your fingers to carefully pry off the plastic housing.
