BMW NBT EVO CarPlay Activation & Lifetime Maps

Activate Apple CarPlay on a compatible BMW F-Series or G-Series vehicle equipped with NBT EVO ID5 or ID6. Update your navigation maps or replace them with maps for any region of your choice.

You are not limited to your vehicle's current map region. Send your current navigation map version and desired region to BIMMER SPOT so we can confirm the correct map update or region conversion and Lifetime Maps activation for your system.

Fullscreen vs split-screen

Fullscreen CarPlay is available from firmware NBTevo_N onward on compatible systems. Versions NBTevo_H, I, J, K, L and M use split-screen mode and require a firmware update for fullscreen. Contact us to arrange the appropriate update.

USB activation

For firmware NBTevo_H, I, J, K, L, M, N or O, we provide an activation file and instructions by email. Copy the file to a USB drive and follow the supplied instructions to activate CarPlay.

ENET activation

For firmware NBTevo_P, Q, R, S, U, V, W and later versions, the listed activation method uses an ENET cable and a Windows 10 or 11 laptop with the Feature Installer application. Confirm the method for your exact firmware before ordering.

The ENET cable is not included and is not supplied with this listing.

Wi-Fi antenna requirement

A Wi-Fi antenna is required to connect your phone to CarPlay. Activation alone does not replace missing hardware. If your vehicle has no antenna, you must arrange installation separately; antenna installation assistance is not included in this service.

Before ordering

Send your VIN, firmware version, current map version and desired region to confirm compatibility. This service is listed for vehicles with compatible NBT EVO ID5 or ID6 systems manufactured after July 2016.

To find your version, open Navigation > Options > Settings > Position & Version History > Version Information.
