WHAT CHANGES?

This service changes the supported iDrive 5 interface to the iDrive 6 layout, giving your main menu a refreshed appearance with larger tiles.

The service focuses on the interface. It does not automatically add new equipment, activate paid features or update the vehicle’s entire software.

COMPATIBILITY

Suitable for confirmed compatible BMW NBT EVO head units running the ID5 interface.

Compatibility depends on the installed head unit and its software, not simply the vehicle model or registration year. Retrofitted systems must also be checked individually.

This listing does not cover:
• CIC or standard NBT systems.
• NBT EVO ID4-to-ID6 conversions.
• MGU / iDrive 7, 8, 8.5 or 9 systems.
• Aftermarket Android screens.

HOW THE REMOTE SERVICE WORKS

1. Send your vehicle details.
   Message us your BMW model, production year, the last seven characters of your VIN and a photo of the current iDrive menu. We may also request a photo of the software version.

2. Receive compatibility confirmation.
   We confirm whether your system supports this service and explain the required connection setup.

3. Prepare for your session.
   Have the vehicle, a suitable computer, reliable internet access and the connection equipment we confirm for your car available. Check with us before purchasing a cable or adapter.

4. Connect with BimmerSpot.
   Follow our preparation instructions while we perform the agreed interface coding remotely.

5. Check the result.
   After the system restarts, check the ID6 menu and normal operation with our guidance.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED?

• Apple CarPlay activation or fullscreen CarPlay.
• Android Auto activation.
• Navigation map updates.
• Full vehicle software updates or head-unit firmware flashing.
• ID4-to-ID6 conversion.
• A replacement screen, head unit, laptop or diagnostic cable.
• Touchscreen hardware or ConnectedDrive subscriptions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will I receive a new screen?
No. This is a remote coding service for your existing compatible system. No physical item is shipped.

Will this add Apple CarPlay?
CarPlay activation and fullscreen CarPlay are separate services and are not included.

Will my screen become touch-sensitive?
Touch operation requires compatible physical hardware. Changing the interface does not add touchscreen capability.

Will my display look exactly like the image?
The image illustrates the ID6 layout. Available tiles, vehicle graphics, language and displayed content can vary with your equipment and configuration.

Do I need coding experience?
You will need to follow our preparation and connection instructions. We carry out the agreed coding remotely.
