This service is intended only for compatible BMW vehicles equipped with:
- A petrol engine manufactured after 2018
- A BDC3 control module
- B48, B58 or S58 engine
Diesel-powered vehicles are not supported.
Please note: this service enables remote engine start using the original BMW key fob. Remote start through the My BMW app or another mobile application is a separate solution and normally requires active ConnectedDrive telematics or an external telematics system.
Start your BMW before entering the vehicle
We activate the original BMW Remote Engine Start/Stop function already supported by compatible vehicles.
After activation, you can start the engine remotely using your factory key fob. This allows the climate-control system to begin preparing the cabin before you get inside:
- Cool the interior during hot weather
- Warm the cabin in winter
- Defrost the windows in advance
- Make every trip more comfortable
The function is activated as a standalone OEM feature. No engine tuning and no ECU unlocking are required.
When your BMW key already reaches the vehicle from your house, office or apartment window, this upgrade becomes especially convenient.

Remote activation
The work is completed through your Windows computer using a BMW ENET cable.
FSC-only option
A VIN-specific signed FSC file is supplied for activation by a professional BMW installer.
Step 5
We activate the function remotely or prepare the required FSC file for your vehicle.
Step 6
Use the original BMW key fob to start the engine remotely and prepare the cabin before entering the car.

FAQ
Can I start the engine from my phone?
This service activates remote start from the KEY FOB (3-press). Starting from a phone/app requires active BMW ConnectedDrive telematics — that's a separate service, ask us if you need it.
Can I use my own alarm system with this?
Yes — once factory Remote Start is active, most 3rd-party alarm/telematics systems (any brand) can trigger it from an app. We can also install a compatible alarm for you on request.
Do you unlock my control unit?
No, we don't unlock the module.
Do you support diesel engines?
No, petrol (gasoline) engines only.
Do you support F-series?
Generally no, except some newer chassis codes — send your VIN and we'll confirm.
I'm a professional installer — can I just buy the code?
Yes. If you identify yourself as a professional with E-Sys or ISTA, we can sell you the signed FSC file for your VIN and you activate it yourself.
